The Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Okechukwu Enelamah said the Economic Growth and Recovery Plan (EGRP) is targeted towards creating an average of 3.7 million jobs yearly.

“… The involvement of small businesses in the service sector is a major lever for economic recovery. We have committed to reduce unemployment from 13.9 per cent as of Q3 2016 to 11.23 per cent by 2020. This translates to the creation of over 15 million jobs during the Plan horizon or an average of 3.7 million jobs per annum,” Mr Enelamah said at a youth entrepreneurship summit.Read More →

Lawmakers in the House of Representatives recently passed a resolution to review the age barriers for job vacancies announced by some government agencies in the country.
